Welcome to Stapleton
Named after the old Stapleton airport that once existed in the area. The airport was relocated in 1995 and is now named Denver International Airport (DIA). The community of Stapleton are very active, yet laid back, as they take the time to enjoy the amenities and scenery that surrounds them. Stapleton is a mixed-use development neighborhood. The airport control tower, in fact, still stands and is being incorporated into this community’s ultimate plan.
Eventually, there will be about 12,000 homes in the Stapleton area once development has been completed. There are also plans for a light rail station, a total of six schools, and more than 1,000 acres of parks and open spaces. The Denver Park and Rec department just opened the latest rec center, called Central Park Recreation Center, that is conveniently located right in the middle of Stapleton. As recreation centers go, this one’s got everything you and your family could possible want in a rec center!
If you have been looking for a new, walkable community in a parks-galore kind of area, Stapleton is for you! From rental units and condos, to row homes and lofts, the Stapleton area has something for everyone. If you are looking for a single-family residence, you’ll be delighted at the wide variety of architectural styles available; this is no cookie-cutter new home community! Stapleton homes range from contemporary designs to near-exact replicas of Denver’s more historical homes. The great builder collections include Denver Squares, Victorians, Bungalows, Craftsman, and Tudors—something for everyone’s taste and budget.
